How to make a splash screen

Splash screen best practices
- Keep it minimal. A logo on a solid color loads instantly and works on every screen shape.
- Don't put text or "Loading…" on it. Apple's guidelines say launch screens should look like the first screen of your app, not an ad.
- Leave a margin. Notches, rounded corners and the Android 12 circle mask can cut off a logo that's too big.

Does iOS still use launch images?
Native iOS apps now use a launch screen storyboard instead of fixed images. The ZIP includes a LaunchLogo image set (@1x, @2x, @3x) to place in the center of your storyboard. Fixed-size images are still used by many frameworks such as Capacitor, Cordova, Ionic and some React Native setups.
What is the Android 12 splash icon?
Android 12 and newer show a system splash screen made of your background color and a centered icon. The icon image is 288×288 dp and the visible part must fit inside a 192 dp circle. The ZIP includes it in every density plus a theme snippet.
What size should my logo be?
Use a transparent PNG at least 1000 pixels wide. A logo that takes about 25–35% of the screen width usually looks balanced.
Which file do I need for Capacitor or Ionic?
Use universal/splash-2732x2732.png. It is centered and safe to crop to any screen shape, which is how Capacitor and Ionic resources work.
